Purchasing Manager Retail – Luton – 3 months – Hybrid with Travel

Working for one the worlds integrated tourism business this role is working with the Supplier Management & Procurement team to optimize value of all contracts.

Reporting to the Senior Manager the role does not include direct or indirect reports, obtain market intelligence and analyse market developments such as new trends, supplier entry/exits, competitor information and risks, monitor and report on opportunities for savings as well as reviewing information on quality and performance of suppliers, manage the procurement process for medium to high values/risk projects, lead request for proposal with stakeholders and work in close co-operation with  other SM&P team members, lead negotiations linked to RFP, prepare supplier meetings, perform the financial analysis for final decision making, contract drafting process after supplier is selected, manage commercial agreements and contractual claims, undertake business travel both for internal purposes and for supplier visits/meetings, work from home when not needed in the office.

Successful candidates will  have at least a graduate degree, CIPS qualification or equivalent experience with at least 5 years relevant experience, challenge assumptions and think outside of the box, commercial mindset, good negotiation and influencing mindset, a can do attitude with work result-oriented and take initiative.
