Laboratory Assistant £12.18 per hour – 6 months – Reading

Working within a Research & Development science laboratory, this role performs a wide range of analytical analyses for a variety of pharmaceutical, healthcare and food companies to support research and innovation.

Duties are to support the lab to run efficiently, perform dishwasher duties on glassware from laboratories linked with admin teams site, washing of glass pipettes, maintain stock levels, ensure SOP’s are adhered to, to minimise the risk of glassware contamination, ensure general lab cleanliness, remove waste containers ready for collection, ensure a through understanding of the tasks to be executed before initiating the assigned activity, complete EHS training, maintain good housekeeping of all areas of which work is performed, complete quality training as required and ensure training records are accurate and up to date.

Candidates will have good communication skills, adhere to safety guidelines, work well with others, problem solving, attention to detail, comply with SOP’s, have a good understanding of basic lab equipment with a scientific interest, and worked within a scientific function.
